The Masterclasses:

Over the years I’ve always been approached by illustrators on Instagram asking how to get their work seen, how do they start getting work, how do they improve their drawings, etc etc.

And I loved replying and helping people out, but there’s only so much you can fit into an Insta DM. So from there I created a short class on Skillshare tackling a few topics for fashion illustrators such as marketing and pitching.

This was really well received but it was such a short course, about 35 minutes total. Whilst my own career was finding it’s footing and I took the leap to become a full time artist, I started thinking about creating a longer course that detailed exactly everything I’ve done to make that happen.

So the ‘Business of Fashion Illustration’ was born!

An 8 week course launched in July 2021 covering portfolio, marketing, pitching and more. Once the course was complete I sent out some review forms and the responses I got back were amazing, much better than I was expecting so I continued to reopen the course to new students.

In June 2022, a year after the business course launched I created ‘The Art of Fashion Illustration’, a drawing course aimed to hone your skills from form, energy, composition to posing and style.

I always saw these courses as two sides of the same coin, one focuses on business and getting work, the other on improving your art, so they went hand in hand!

That course thankfully also received rave reviews, and I continued to reopen the courses a few times a year to allow a new group of students to experience them.

In 2024 I started to think of a new course to create, one focusing on portfolios, as I’d learnt in my career I’ve lost out on a lot of work opportunities because my portfolio wasn’t very commercial.

So I poured my knowledge into another 8 week course, launched June 2024, that covered creating a well rounded, commercial portfolio from scratch. Covering fashion illustrations, beauty, portraits, still lives, locations, editorial work and more.

That course was rated 10/10 by all students amazingly.

Now after opening the Business course and the Art course 5 times each, I decided to retire them and focus on something new. After 3 years of being a full time artist and teaching these courses for 3 years I’ve learnt some new things and I’m excited to share them with you all!

So some new courses are coming, so keep an eye out!
